Multiscale modeling in heat and mass transfer Certosa di Pontignano, Castelnuovo Berardenga, Siena, Italy
Facing problems in heat and mass transfer which involve important features at multiple scales of time and/or space is a situation that more and more frequently comes up to process engineers and applied physicists. Due to the complexity of phenomena and to the variety of simulation techniques, the tools available to researchers require an in-depth knowledge and specific training that usually fall beyond both the MSc programs and many PhD programs. The 19th UIT Summer School allows post-doc and PhD students to cast a glance to tools and techniques most effective in working such kind of problems. Prof. Alfonso Niro Director |
