Activities

UIT is a public non-profit association representing scientists and engineers working in the field of thermal-fluid dynamics in Italy, in academia, in national laboratories and in industry. It is an independent association, recognized by State bylaw, with administrative, financial, scientific and disciplinary autonomy.

The UIT is intersectorial and interdisciplinary, and promotes the organization of national and international Conferences, Seminars, Meetings, Courses, etc., to foster the broadening and the deepening of the knowledge in the field of thermal-fluid dynamics.

The Italian Union of Thermal-Fluid Dynamics is linked with important International Organizations of the field, namely with:

• the EUROTHERM Committee, European Committee for the Advancement of Thermal Sciences and Heat Transfer
• the IMechE, Institution of Mechanical Engineers
• the ASME, American Society of Mechanical Engineers
• the ICHMT, International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer
• the JSMF, Japanese Society for Multiphase Flow
